Roy and his wife, Gloria, have two grown sons, Greg and Jon. Roy's favorite colors are Green Bay Packer, Green & Gold.
Roy Dittman was raised in Shawano Wisconsin, about 30 miles from Green Bay. He attended the University of Wisconsin and the Brown Institute of Broadcasting in Minneapolis. He did news and play-by-play in Missouri, before doing news and sports in Dayton and Columbus, Ohio.
Roy's first radio station job was as at KKJO in St Joseph Missouri, followed by 11 years at WING in Dayton, Ohio, and then three years at WBNS in Columbus, Ohio, including a stint as the third man on Ohio State Football broadcasts.Roy was also manager of KIDO/KIDQ in Boise, Idaho, before making Salem his home. He's been happily involved with KBZY since 1985 and is part of Salem's longest-running morning show.
