I'm in Costa Rica 'til Feb 17 and listen to KBZY streamed so I can feel in touch w/ what's happening in Salem. It's sunny and warm here. If you want to see pics of my tropical sojourn look on facebook or e-mail me to get on my journal/log postings.

Season's Greetings !! I hope this finds you all well, and maybe you could help me out with an answer. What ever happened to John Walker, who used to run the station, back in the late '70's ? I worked for KBZY in 1978, in an unofficial capacity, sweeping floors, going to High School Proms, etc. I've since moved way south, in Florida, and I'm enjoying the current temperature of 31, believe it or not. Just curious to find out if he still is on this Planet. Any info would be most appreciated . Yours, M.R. McDermitt

ROn- Giving a great big shout out from South Carolina I work at WGGS TV-16 in Greenville, SC I already listen to Doo Wop Express on the internet, but stumbled across your wonderful Radio Station! I really like the KBZY stuff better! You have some great engineers there. The quality is incredible with great audio fidelity! The total Doo Wop program over the radio is the best! Hey you guys do better than our East Coast doo wop radio stations in New York, where this all started! I hope to check out your feed on the live program weeknights. Oh I wish we had this stuff here! Our Greenville oldies station - T 103.3 FM WOLT is great, but yours is much better!!!! I work at a local indie TV station and get to program vintage Public Domain TV shows from the 50s as well as vintage movies from the 1930s - 1950s. I have a HUGE library of these kinds of films. We even run old TV shows with the original commercials as they originally aired on Network TV! Again, your show is the best! I really love this kind of music my parents grew up with. Gosh, they had the best music of all! My generation was the 1970s, but the 1950s is the best! I have thousands of 45s from this era, including many songs you play! At the TV sation they call me the Doo Wop daddy, because the young 20s - 30s crew hears me playing this stuff in my office. Keep up the good work. Derek J. Myers Senior Video Editor WGGS TV

An old listener from the 60's. I remember when you had some type of contest back in 67/68 were aliens had stolen the K off the building and whoever found it would win a prize. At least thats how I remember it. I do remember the alien that would speak, leave clues or whatever. I was very young and was surrounded by teenagers that would make it very spooky for me. We would go by the building and see the K was actually gone. Very cool memories. Great listening when we were suppose to be asleep. Does anybody remember that?
