My husband and I just watched our cousin, "The Ditty Man" on the "Merry Christmas" dancing video. Loved it! You're such a "cool" man Ditty!

I often reflect on my days at KBZY. There are many fond memories attached to those days. My days from 1985-1996 were some of the best and the crew was top notch. KBZY is the "community radio station" in the truest form. Thank you for the memories.

Just an added note... It was more than likely, listening to th DJ's on KBZY at such a your age that got me interested in broadcasting, and since then I have had the pleasure to work as the news director and production manager at a local AM/FM station here in this area, and also in the production department of WYFR (Family Radio) based in Oakland CA. Both of which were VERY interesting and enjoyable jobs. Maybe if I ever make it back to Salem, I'll drop by KBZY an see if they could use my voice and experience ;)

"Well ? It's about that time again... Time to let that little man in the radio recharge his batteries..." I remember listening to this 'Close of BC Day' cart from way back in the late 60's. Spent several of my Grade School (Grant) years, and all my Jr.HS (Parrish) and HS (North) hours cruising up Summer St ('The Gut')with KBZY on the car radio. Somewhere in that time there was a content change that moved me away from listening, and I eventually moved to CA (Middletown). Just found the KBZY stream online and intend to listen and see what is happening in my old Stompin' Grounds now... All the best to my old friends, if there are any left (54 here now), and anyone that I chatted with on CB... 73!

I've listened to your station on and off for probably 30 years. Have just recently become a more regular listener again and wonder why I never hear Elvis, Roy Orbison, Conway Twitty, Everley Bros., etc. songs. You seem to have a pretty good variety but never seems to include those artists.
